MiCamp: Two Titans Join Forces
In late 2023, we entered a strategic alliance with MiCamp to expand our payment network and pool our resources for an even better POS experience. The alliance enabled us to achieve a combined $40 billion in transaction volume in our first year together, a record we’re set to smash in 2025.
What excites us most about the merger, beyond expanding our reach, network, and capital, is that MiCamp shares our disruptive approach to POS services. We continue to aggressively seek and implement tomorrow’s must-have payment technology. That means better data and analytics for our CRM suites, and a streamlined omnichannel payment system.
One of our most exciting new features, which COCARD and MiCamp were among the first processors to adopt, is the merchant reward system.
Best-In-Class Rewards
When we first heard about merchants earning rewards for payment volume, much like rewards for a credit card, we knew the idea was a winner. Our core philosophy is that any time we make money, so should the people who make our success possible.
That’s why, in 2023, we were one of the first processors to partner with a merchant rewards network. INCENTCO is a platform that gives merchants major incentives for transaction volume. We’re proud to pay dividends back to merchants as they move payments through our network.
The beauty of the INCENTCO partnership is the positive feedback loop that it creates between COCARD, our merchants, and their sales teams. Merchants can incentivize their teams with the same system, which has a cascading effect on employee performance, merchant sales, and COCARD payment volume.
When team members (and merchants) choose their own goals and incentives, and when they’re rewarded every step of the way, it can transform a company culture. A 2018 study in the Journal of Marketing found that while sales incentive systems drive higher performance (no surprise there), an individualized system can increase the impact by up to 40%.
We’ve already seen massive effects on payment volume (and of course, client sales) as a result of our INCENTCO partnership. The real game-changer will be when merchants empower their employees with the same individualized reward systems.
